Wireless communication weaknesses are on the increase. This has created challenging issues in the security of wireless systems and applications operating in wireless environments. The objective of this workshop is to bring together researchers from research communities researching in wireless networking, mesh networking, security, cryptography, robustness, and survivability, with the goal of evolving security techniques for wireless networks. The workshop on Security of Wireless Communication Systems will be held in conjunction with the 2nd IFIP International Conference on New Technologies, Mobility, and Security (NTMS 2008). Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Security of mesh networks
- Security of Wireless Sensor Networks
- Intrusion detection and response in Wireless Networks
- Critical systems based on wireless mobile infrastructures
- Cross-layer design for robustness and security
- Formal aspects of wireless security
- Adaptive security mechanisms for wireless communication systems
- Threat and vulnerability modelling in wireless networks
- Distributed localization and tracking
- Attack analysis and digital forensic in wireless networks
- Privacy, authentication, and authorization in mobile networks
- Wireless GRID computing
- Security of Mobile multimedia
